About Dan

Cornwall is not where I was born – that’s Toronto – but it has been my home for almost a decade now.

My partner Sarah and I moved here from our home in Scarborough in 2018 when I took a new role that meant I would need to go into the Ottawa office regularly. We opted for Cornwall because we had friends in the area that talked about it in all the right ways: great food, quieter living, and easy access to bigger cities if we ever missed that life.

I’ve lead customer support teams and departments for many years, most recently for Canadian tech companies. In my fifteen years of experience there I’ve learned a lot about building great products and working with smart people to get things done. I’ve been both on the front lines and worked in management, where I’ve brought and fostered my love for seeing growth and change towards brighter futures for individuals and for groups.

Cornwall has so much going for it, from local gems like Red Cart Books and the Spicy Pearl, theatre at Seaway Valley Theatre or Aultsville, or our amazing Sunday morning farmer’s market, all the way to bigger events like Ribfest or Poutinefest every summer. We are also blessed by being on the St Lawrence, with the Waterfront Trail running right through our downtown and Lamoreaux Park, and a short drive or bike ride out to the Long Sault or St Raph’s Ruins.

And don’t worry, I would never forget pizza in this city – every Cornwall-style pizza joint has a place in my heart, but I also love Crust & Bites just down the street from me on Pitt, and on weekends a short drive out to Fraser Creek Pizza Farm or Sheep’s Head Bistro.

We live in a beautiful city that I’ve fallen in love with over the last eight years, and I would like to see it get even better so that generations to come will find the beauty I have here and so much more.
